I walked in for my first appointment today not sure what I wanted and with a Plain Jane cut from Supercuts that was four months old. (I had gotten it out of desperation to have a lot of length removed.) Venus understood immediately how to improve things and proceeded with a cut & blow-dry that has given me a beautiful style back.
