Rhonda Rocks – I was visiting New York from out of town and my sister and I decided to go get tattoos. We went to Rhonda to get them. She was really cool about everything, helping us design our tattoos and making us as comfortable as possible. It was my sister's first tattoo and Rhonda made her forget about being nervous. don't bother – the tattoo artist took two drop-ins ahead of me, completely disregarding the appointment i'd made. it got so late i had to reschedule. when i came back i still waited two hours while they got their stuff together! the only reason i got tattooed is because they wouldn't refund my deposit even after i pointed out they'd wasted four hours of my time. the tattoo looks nice, and the staff is talented and friendly, but there are plenty of places in manhattan that do quality work without being so expensive and disorg... read more
the ONLY place to go – The best for all your piercing needs. SOOOO clean. They sterilized my jewelry for 45 minutes! I got my nipple pierced by Ian who was awesome. The jewelry is magnificently gorgeous though expensive. There's no place like it.

Amazing! – I just got my tattoo here and it turned out wonderfully. I am incredibly happy with it. It's PERFECT. Ask for Ronda - she's amazing. She's been tattooing for 16 years and really knows what she's doing. She helped me design my tattoo to make it exactly perfect and what I wanted. Highly recommended!
GREAT EXPERIENCE – venus is hands down the best shop in the city. it's clean, they always have great music playing and their piercers are funny and friendly. i always leave there smiling.
killer – as far as piercing goes - i haven't been tattoed here [yet!] venus is the absolute best ... really talented staff, SUPER clean of course, and an amazing selection of jewelry (some of it can get expensive, but it depends what you get, there's tons of really gorgeous stuff) . the place is really chill and though it's a huge haul from my apt, there's no way i'd go anywhere else in the city. ask for marilyn or montana when you're there
THE BEST IN NYC – Venus is hands down the best tattoo/piercing in Manhattan. This is the ONLY place I trust in addition to NY Adorned. Awesome jewelry selection, cool staff, and I have never waited more than 5 minutes for everything ... perhaps I go at good times. I've been going to Venus for years, and if you're looking for an immaculately sterile and friendly place, you should too.
Lovely Jewerly, but... – I really like the jewerly. I am a regular customer. But, the service at the new store on Broadway is so SLOW. One day I went there and the owner checked out my piercing that might have been an infection. Mind you, it wasn't busy. They had me want at least an hour to see me.That doesn't make any sense.
