What a treat! – I went on Citysearch to find who had the best reviews. VENUS was it. Off I went to the Lower East Side to get my Septum pierced. The Store itself is simple BUT special. They have comfy couches, a water fountain, a seperate room, where you have privacy while getting pierced & beautiful jewelry. I met Jeff-the Piercer. RONDA IS THE BEST!!! – Simply put, Ronda is the only person in NYC to see if you're thinking about getting a tattoo. I went to see her because I wanted to get one of my tattoos modifed and she patiently sat with me, offered suggestions, and then created a design that was beautiful. She is the ultimate professional and I love, love, love my new tattoo!!!
this place is the placed to get pierced – My piercer was very nice and made me feel comfortable right away. I felt comfortable asking lots of questions and he didn't get irritated when I changed my mind about what jewelry i wanted. He also gave me a lot of advice on aftercare.
Highly recommended!!! – Extremely anxious, I went to Venus Modern Body Art to have my navel pierced. This was the one place recommended by friends. Other than having my ears pierced, I've never done any body art. Montana was fabulous! He did not pressure me in the least, was patient through my jewely search and helped me relax during the piercing. It honestly wasn't bad at all. My fears were unjustified. Rhonda is amazing! – Sure, Rhonda isn't super-fast, but hello, she's putting something permanent on your body! Call me crazy, but I *WANT* her to take her time. She did a consultation, drew up some ideas, encouraged me to be honest, and redid her drawings to reflect exactly what I wanted. She took a lot of time with my tattoo (my first) and her price was totally fare. She will totally be doing my second tattoo, third, and so on!
extremely satisfied customer – I got my nose pierced here, they were friendly (but not sickeningly so), had no sales pressure and very clean. Also, they provide you with a sheet and ointment for after-care. I've enjoyed my piercing problem free, for three years now. I have had my belly button pierced years before somewhere else. No other option – I actually didn't get my piercing done here, but I had a problem with a piercing I had gotten recently. A friend recomened I go to this location to get it taken care of. With so many places to chose from in the city it's kind of hard to weed out the good from the bad. I walked in and felt instantly comfortable. Excellent – Went there to get my first tattoo, and it was just a wonderful experience. Rhonda helped design it, and although I knew what I wanted, she made some really expert suggestions on placement and exact design. A little expensive, and she's not the most timely person, but an excellent and really accomodating artist. The reason she runs late is because she spends so much time with everyone. A+
