Dr. Nemani has performed surgery on my back twice. The first was an L2-3 fusion with laminectomy and the second an L5-S1 laminotomy. Dr. Namani combines professional knowledge, a willingness to listen and clearly explain complex medical terms and procedures while spending as much time as I needed to feel confident about the surgery and recovery. I recently just had my second spinal surgery with Dr.Nemani in July 2021.My first surgery experience and my 2nd with Dr.Nemani and all of his amazing staff from nurses, Allen who is the surgical coord and the PCP I was able to see last minute to clear me for surgery were truly so amazing on assisting me since I live in Alaska and had to travel here to WA. Dr. Nemani and his team dramatically improved my quality of life. I underwent major complex spinal surgery for 2 spinal deformities. The entire process -- from my first consultation with Dr. Nemani through my surgeries and post-operative visits with him was positive, professional, thorough and honest. In addition to his knowledge, exceptional abilities and experience he genuinely cares about his patients.
Before surgery this past July I could walk no more than a couple of hundred yards without my right foot and lower leg becoming completely numb. The usual nonsurgical approaches had all failed to help. Using microscopic surgery through an incision of 2/3 of an inch Dr. Nemani restored complete sensation. Started at different practice, diagnosed with 2 herniated discs. Spent several months in physical therapy; went through 2 rounds of steroid injections, received no relief. A coworker and his wife had been to Dr. Nemani, and suggested I go. Turns out...no herniation, I had a cyst on my spine. Just over 2 wks out of surgery and I haven't had any pain. Pros: He is patient and understanding; will take his time with you and makes sure you understand everything. Highly recommend him and staff !!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Nemani and his team are. He gave me my quality of life back, and I am forever grateful.
