Dr Pedraza and his team were amazing! The entire staff was so helpful. I had my first colonoscopy and chose to do it without sedation. The process was so quick. They walked me through each step. We laughed and chatted and I learned a lot! Never thought I’d say this about a colonoscopy - but they made it a great experience. If you gotta get it done- do it here! Best nurses, best doctors, best support team.
It was my first colonoscopy ever today and I was very nervous but from the staff at the front checking me in, to Eileen who explained process before starting, to Virginia (?) who meticulously inserted my IV, to my nurse who’s name escapes me that gave me my sedation, to Dr Gonda…they all made the procedure so much better than I thought it’d be. Went in for initial consult and was seen by a nurse practitioner. I specifically asked if the colonoscopy would cost me anything and she said "NO". Then I later received a bill for $426. I called and spoke to their billing department manager, and she said she would look into it and get back to me. She never got back to me and I keep receiving bill notices. I would seriously stay away from this organization.
I was required to be there at 8:30 for my 9:30 procedure. I was taken in and prepared by Dr. Pedraza's assistant. She was wonderful! She got me all ready and started my I.V. Dr. Pedraza's nurse was very nice too as she took me into the procedure room. Dr. Pedraza was friendly and personable. It was as pleasant experience as it could be considering I was having a colonoscopy. Procedure takes maybe 20 minutes via twilight sedation then I was ready to be picked up at 10:30.
