In 1965 a young man named Vince Giacalone turned a dream into reality by opening a restaurant where people could enjoy food from his family’s heritage. My family has been coming here since they opened in 65'( the year I was born) .... although I know longer live in PL, my family does, so when I do come to visit my first stop is here . Never a disappointment! The staff are incredible, great service and the food is always excellent !! Keep up the great work.
We held our Celebration of Life for my grandmother on the patio and could not have been happier with how it turned out. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and the food was great. I highly recommend this venue.

These guys can do no wrong in our book. Just a great neighborhood spot in the classic "red-joint" sense. The Giacliones employ a whole generation of our neighborhood kids and If you aren't goingt there for the scallop appetizer or to hng out with Mikey at the bar you are missing out. Frank and Joey are a class act and the rock an awesome pie and always have ice cold beer on tap!
One of the best traditional Italian food restaurant in San Diego. Loved the great food and friendly staff. We'll certainly be back!
