Got there around 4:30 with my wife. Celebrating her birthday. The restaurant was emptied maybe it was too early. The waitress was not to knowledgeable regarding the menu. I told her it was my wife birthday... that went by her way side..... I drink Martinis. She said they are $4.50 on Thursday. I said that is pretty good. I ordered my usual a Kettle One dirty martini. She said do you want olives? I said of course, with blue cheese. The dirty martini was not dirty enough so she brought me more olive juice on the side.... Hm...... read more

Laughable food and service. Ordered an entree with soup. They forgot to bring silverware when the soup came out until I went up and asked for it. Waited 40 minutes for the entree to arrive. Oh wait, they mixed up our food order with someone else's. Waited some more for our correct order to arrive. Which came out cold. And then they forgot to bring silverware for the second time. Chaotic experience would be putting it mildly. Next time, I'll just stick to Harrys across the street.
Vellos was an exceptional restaurant as well as an experience. My girlfriend's and I went a wednesday night to celebrate a birthday and even though their store claimed they closed at 10, google had said that it didn't close until 11. The staff, specifically Gabriella (Gabby) was more than accomdable for us. The service was impeccable which is what made the birthday girl very happy. We ordered take out for about 6 people and got a variety of meals. Everything was really, really good. We especially loved the shrimp and grits and the apricot ribs, but it was all great. We highly recommend Vellos! It was reasonably priced as well.
