Both her staff and Dr. Vellanke were very communicative and focused on care. I had been forewarned of long waits, but by scheduling early in the day, I did not wait long. Dr. Vellanki was very thorough and took her time to know me and my concerns. I left with the conviction that she is the right doctor for me for the coming phase of my life. I cannot imagine why she received so many negative reviews, which almost caused me to schedule elsewhere.
Rude, condescending, does not care about the progression or aggressiveness when making an initial appointment I was told I had to wait more than a month and it didn't matter that my lung is continually refilling with fluid and I'm barely able to walk I was literally yelled app for stating my doctor had sent over a referral and I hadn't heard from anybody so I was following up.
She frequently runs very late with no consideration for her waiting room full of patients. During my visits, she never lays hands on me; she only reviews my bloodwork and prescribes medication. That’s it.
Never on time. And very vague about your condition
I was visiting Wooster and decided to set an appointment with Padma Vellanki for arthritis. Two weeks after extentive blood tests and her initial examination she had me return for the results. She said I had Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis. She said the Lupus was so severe that I needed to start on Chemo and many other drugs including opiates. I was stunned! I called my primary care doctor in Florida and he said he wanted to see all of the test results. He also said not to take any drugs until he sees me. Today I saw my primar... read more
If you have another option for rheumatology, take it. It’s a struggle to get lab work and prescriptions from her. The office staff rarely answers the phone and doesn’t return messages.
I saw this Dr years ago when I was first diagnosed with RA. One time was more than enough She didn't seem to care about helping me and yawned thru the entire appointment. Handed me some booklets and that was that. Would NEVER go back, am seeing a Dr in N. Canton who is much better. Worth the drive.
Dr Vellanki is wonderful she’s very kind and very caring. She never rushes through my appointment she takes all the time I need. I would recommend her to anybody. I can ask her any questions and she can answer me every time and she will go in depth if I need her to. I have tremendous respect for her.
I have been seeing Dr Vellanki for a year. She knows what she’s talking about! I trust her completely. She is not the first Rheumatologist that I have seen, so I do have something valid to go on. She listens, answered every question I’ve ever asked, she is concerned and very respectful!
