First of ALL, the staff, from the valet to the surgeon, were great! We were kept informed of each step in the process from prep to room assignment. Everyone took time to answer any questions we had. The hospital is really sprawled out, so we got turned around a few times. Whenever we stopped to ask for directions, we were courteously and patiently assisted. Some even walked with us to our destination. The last thing you need when facing a surgical procedure, is a sullen staff. Overall, it was a great experience. ☆☆☆☆☆
The people/staff are kind, clear, informative and very helpful but the wait times are absolutely ridiculous- I had other doctor's appointments scheduled the same day that I had to cancel because I was waiting close to an hour for a CT scan- and I was already there an hour early for the preparatory things but couldn't start anything cause I was waiting behind others that were already waiting 30min plus for their appointments

I wanted to specifically leave a review for the VCU Medical Gateway building and staff because that was my first experience there for surgery check-in, and honestly it was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything felt incredibly organized, smooth, and welcoming.
