I am extremely disappointed with the experience my sister had at VCU Health Gateway. My sister had just undergone surgery, and she was left sitting outside near a construction area in a chair shortly after her procedure. She had just had surgery and should have been recovering in a safe, clean, and appropriate environment. First of ALL, the staff, from the valet to the surgeon, were great! We were kept informed of each step in the process from prep to room assignment. Everyone took time to answer any questions we had. The hospital is really sprawled out, so we got turned around a few times. Whenever we stopped to ask for directions, we were courteously and patiently assisted. Some even walked with us to our destination. The last thing you need when facing a surgical procedure, is a sullen staff. Overall, it was a great experience. ☆☆☆☆☆

The people/staff are kind, clear, informative and very helpful but the wait times are absolutely ridiculous- I had other doctor's appointments scheduled the same day that I had to cancel because I was waiting close to an hour for a CT scan- and I was already there an hour early for the preparatory things but couldn't start anything cause I was waiting behind others that were already waiting 30min plus for their appointments
