VCU liver transplant team, critical care unit, ICU and the transplant center saved my sons life. He is recovering and says he feels better than he has in over 4 years. The skills of everyone from the surgeon and his team and all the care givers and social workers got us through this very scary process! He is going to rehab to strengthen his muscles and we hope will be home soon to enjoy his 2 kids, 10 and 13 and his wife who was instrumental in all the decisions made that gave him a second chance.
