COMPASSIONATE IS MY FIRST THOUGHT ALWAYS! I first went there in 1992 , and I have never been disappointed. Dr. Athey has always been so gentle and compassionate with all my dogs and cats, and I have never had to question the care they receive there. Extra Ordinary Care by Orange City Animal Clinic Dr. Athey and his staff work in great detail to save my kitty of 15 years. Unfortunately a tumor in her chest over came all their efforts. 13 years ago this same cat was hit by a car and and had a broken tail, hernia and other internal injuries. Dr. Athey worked with her for 3 weeks until she was able to come home. I know that most vets would have not cared that much or taken that time to save her. Great Vet!! I have been taking my dog here for almost 10 years. This is a wonderful vet. It's extremely difficult to find good customer service these days, but this vet has it! The staff is all so friendly and helpful and will do what they can for you. The doctors are wonderful and truly seem to care for the pets. Anything you need, just ask and they will help you with. Great customer service and wonderful veterinary care!
A great place for your pet! I have been going to Orange City Animal Clinic for almost ten years. I think this is a wonderful vet. All of the doctors are very knowledgeable and have helped me with all of my pets through the years. The staff is very compassionate and helpful and I have always been treated with the utmost respect and care. I would recommend Dr.Athey's clinic to anyone and I would never think twice about taking my animals anywhere else. I am a lifetime client!
Ms. DO NOT USE THIS VET. It took only two visits to this vet for my healthy cat to die; the first visit was for annuals, the second visit was 3 months later when I found her dying from the FeLV she was supposed to have been innoculated against. They're horribly over-priced and only interested in how many services they can sell you, if your pet gets sick or dies in the process, well, it's ok, 'cause they'll put her down for you for only another $72 (plus $35 disposal fee). DO NOT USE THIS VET.
Wonderful People We have been bringing our dogs to this clinic since 1982. We would never consider going elsewhere. Dr. Athey is a wonderful person and veterinarian, Dr. Neff is very caring and compassionate, and the office staff is as good as they come. They have given the best of care to both our beloved pets, and helped us immensely when we had to put our last boy to sleep. We just can't express how we feel about the staff at this animal clinic. Stay clear of VCA animal hospital Would never refer this hospital to my worst enemy. I had to attend a funeral and needed my dogs cough prescription filled a few days early and was told a flat out no. Took my dogs when I had to make a rode trip to attend funeral. My dog went thru horrific withdrawls. My other dog blew his knee out about the time the office was closing. I had asked for pain meds until I could get him to the office. Another flat out no. Caring doctor There are two doctor's and they are both very caring. The owner is Dr. Athey and there is another vet also there, Dr. Neff. There are a rare breed anymore. My poodle was very sick and they did everything they could to help him. They even had one of the technician's come in on a SUNDAY to give him an IV. To me, they are just wonderful. Orange City Animal Is A Killing Field Orange City Animal Clinic is a killing field! If you love your pet DO NOT TAKE THEM TO ORANGE CITY ANIMAL CLINIC! The faces are friendly, the place looks clean but the surgical area and procedures, and quality of care are all lacking. The equipment is antiquated and Dr. Athey, who most people like, is not usually the one who does the surgery. Is your pet sick? Do you love them? Keep them far away from Orange City Animal Clinic.
