Once they went corporate they didn’t care! I couldn’t get an appointment and their attitude really stunk! I went there since 1981. Dr Jacobsen and his staff were the best! I gave the new owners 6 months and had to leave. I hope I get a response, but don’t expect one because they just don’t care!!
$102 to check a cats blood sugar!!!! Vet tech did nothing..they won’t even cut his nails or clean his ears...what exactly are we paying for in this overpriced office visit???Vet tech told my daughter that she should do it....😡 This place is all about the $$$$$ not the animals for sure! Very sad what happened here and how they treat their long time clients especially ones like myself that do rescue and have brought so many of my pets to them over many years...just awful
More difficult to get appointments when needed, longer waiting times and short on vet techs. I have been coming to this vet for over 20 years and have been very disappointed for the past few months
So, this place is done. As far as I can tell, the regular doctors are no longer there. If you are wondering if they care about money or the care of your pet, wonder no more. Its all about the money. I will refrain from explaining the crap they wanted to pull at our visit on Monday but here is something you should consider. Our pet was prescribed a specific medication. They charged $30 for FIVE pills. I checked the actual price online and they are $3.20 for 100 pills. Fair? You decide. They are done.
RecommendedI have been using Farmingville Animal Hospital since the early 80’s. From my dogs to my Cats and my ferret. I have always experienced excellent caring service. Thank you all for that care you give!
Worst animal hospital since VCA took over. They don’t care about their patients only making $’s. My dog has Cushing’s disease for which he was tested by Dr. Jacobsen in October 2018 and Dr. Zawie prior to him retiring. The vets there now refuse to renew his Cushing’s medication(although they clearly state that the test is good for six months) without him coming in for an office visit and CBC($’s). HORRIBLE!!! Since its now VCA and the owners retired it's gone down hill so bad! It's such a shame and I'm saddened about this but STAY AWAY!
Worst service since they changed hands will never return to this office! So sad used to be a great office not no more!
