If you love your animal do not bring it here. I want to start off by saying I have never written a bad review in my life but this place deserves it like no other. If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my 14 year old cat in because she has been vomiting every day and sometimes several times a day. Lack of humanity.... I am extremely disappointed in Shrewsbury Animal Hospital. I called at 8:45 am and I told the receptionist that it was an emergency call. Because my dog has been vomiting all night long and seems like he is dying. She said bring him over and asked how soon can I bring him over, I told her I will be there in about ten minutes, she said it is OK he will be taking care right away. Terrible We took our very, very sick cat here and they ran EXPENSIVE tests, x-rays, lab work, examined him, and found nothing. Nothing. Sent my step-daughter home with a $450 bill and a can of cat food! He worsened that night so we took him to a real vet who immediately saw the issue - he had swallowed thread - it was in a knot around his tongue! One look at the x-ray and he needed surgery! DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ALMOST KILLED OUR CAT by not being careful and competent.
VCA killed ny dog I hope this post helps dogs owners in general to avoid my mistake. As I've posted to this page a few weeks ago, when my 12 years old GS Big lost control of his back legs. He did x-rays, ultrasound and a spine MRI scan to find out the cause of his issue. In the end, we found out that he was a healthy older GS with an inflammation on his spine cord due to several slipped discs. Danger The Good, the Bad and the Ugly at Briarcliff Animal Clinic: Our experience at Briarcliff Animal Clinic was disappointing and it left a lot of uncertainties about the performance of this Clinic. Dr. Christina Chiang is a irresponsible as a vet. I took my puppy boxer only once cause our regular vet was remodeling his place and our puppy needed her next vaccine. Dr.Christina Chiang was the one who saw her and told us a bunch of staff and recommended meds and set of vaccines that Kitana our dog supposed to get again. Value your pets then find another vet!! This is potentially the worst run most customer unfriendly Vets I have ever in my entire 20 years of owning animals encountered. 1) Their record keeping is atrocious, our spayed female dog is listed as un-spayed despite (most of their vets there probably can't even tell the difference) 2) They could not even schedule a rabies vaccination ( for one of our cats correctly) again despite being reminded repeatedly what the appointment was for. Treated with the best of care Buddy was treated with the best of care. I brought Buddy in with a swollen cheek, within minutes he was diagnose with an abscessed tooth. I was given medicine and an appointment the next day for surgery. I dropped him off for surgery. At noon, I got a call telling me Buddy was just starting to wake up and he was doing fine.
