I recently visited The Vashti Center for Children & Families in Thomasville, GA, and was deeply disturbed by the environment in the female dormitory. A female staff member openly mocked a youth, saying she "has a big back," "can’t get a boyfriend," and looks "rough." She even stated she "couldn't wait to get off work to drink a bottle," all in front of other youth and staff. The dormitory was dusty, foul-smelling, and poorly maintained. Anyone who says this place is good is lying, this place is garbage. All of us have homes to go to but they are forcing us to stay in a terrible excuse of a home.
