This pizza is created only by an obsessive attention to every detail. There's lots of good pizza in the world but perfection is elusive. Varasano's serves a pizza that hits all the marks for me. Every ingredient is there for a reason and balances with the other flavors. There is nothing here that doesn't belong. it isn't just simple, it's simply perfect.
One of the very best Neapolitan pizzas in the US; and definitely the best in the Southeast.
We had a party of 8 for brunch today. Most of them had never been there. The food was excellent and the mimosas were potent. I can't say enough about our server Toni. She was fabulous. All my gay friends loved her. Thanks Toni for taking care of us in a top notch fashion. You rock!
We have been to Varasano’s several times and they always have good food and good service. We last went for Sunday brunch and it was a solid choice. I appreciate the creativity of their menu. After all, who puts dates and walnuts on a pizza? Well, it was a great brunch choice. Their Italian Bacon appetizer is also very good. My overpriced pizza was burnt when we received it. When I brought it up to the management, the manager looks it over and asked what was wrong with it... as you can see by the attached picture, half the pizza was burnt. They would only provide a refund if we turned in the pizza, but we also didn’t have time to get anything else. So we accepted the poorly made pizza for the crap it was, and didn’t get a refund. Absolutely by far hands down my wife Pam and I’s favorite pizza! The dough used for this pizza is an extremely complex yeast aging process that I have not seen elsewhere. This process is what makes the pizza crust light, airy and flavorful. Jeff the owner himself cooked my wife and I two sampler pizzas and honestly I could not pick a favorite.
