They abruptly closed the day after I started, leaving me to scramble to find another iop in a vulnerable state. I had planned to go to this virtual iop a week before I discharged from residential treatment and invested my time into intake appointments and paperwork for this to happen. Maybe it’s for the best. Incredibly rude admissions director. Called to ask about insurance acceptance and requested referrals for other providers in the area that offer low-cost or sliding scale services, to which they had none, and stated that it’s best practice for mental health facilities to be able to provide some sort of options for clients calling in for services, and the woman I spoke to hung up on me. I was a patient at this facility almost two years ago and it is a terrible place. I was put into an unsafe position and the counselors/therapists did nothing about it. In this one instance the therapists set it up so I would be in an unsafe situation. Also the therapist diagnosed me after one session with her...and needless to say it was a misdiagnosis. Also I do not think these people know what they’re doing. Each “session” or “class” seemed like they thought of the lesson 15 min before it started. I felt like a subject for... read more
