Best Cupcakes in LA – So much better than the gummy cupcakes at that BH store, and no line. Very polite service, slightly pricey but worth going!
BEST CUPCAKE EVER – Okay, if you want to just die and go straight to heaven, have one of vanilla's key lime pie cupcakes. Totally amazing. I don't even have a sweet tooth but I had one of their mini's with my boyfriend (he has the sweet tooth) and I've been addicted ever since. They are super delicious. Writing about make me want to run out right this second!
The best I've ever had! – After reading all the reviews about the cupcakes and service on this site, I just had to write, myself - a first for me. Folks, the counter help could not have been friendlier or more helpful. As many others have pointed out, the cupcakes are terrific. But, the greatest thing I have ever tasted is their Banana Southern Pudding. Damn! All I have to say is YUM!!! – This place is so darling I don't know what to do. The atmosphere is chic yet unpretentious. My favorite! It looks like the Viceroy of cupcakes. And the cupcakes..... deeeeeelicious!!!!!!! Not only are they beautiful little gems of prettiness but they taste amazingly yummy too. Death by frosting! Beautiful and delicious baby cupcakes!! – So i picked up 4 dozen VDAY special baby cupcakes from here for a potluck at my office. They were a smashing success. They were beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious! The only downside is the office in on a sugar high and bouncing off the walls =) I've tried the cupcakes at larkcakeshop, sprinkles, but i think Vanilla Bakeshop is officially my favorite!
simply delicious! – I have a whole mouth full of sweet teeth and Vanilla Bake Shop satisfies every one of them! With classic and unique flavors, some of which are daily specials, in addition to cookies and tasty drinks, I can always count on a sweet bite from Vanilla. I just came back from New York, where I just had to visit the famous Magnolia Bakery...their cupcakes paled in comparison! They were small and dry and looked homemade, which is cute I guess, but Vanilla's cupcakes are delicious little pieces of art!!
Cute shop but OK cupcakes – In regards to the decor, Vanilla Bake Shop is one of the prettiest cupcake shops in LA, with cotton candy pink walls, damask wallpaper, white chandeliers, and dark wood floors. I especially liked that they had shelves of old fashioned clear jars filled with fine baby blue, green and yellow sprinkles. Losing hope for this bakery – A few months ago, a coworker brought in a box of Vanilla's cupcakes to sample. After first being impressed by their visual beauty, we mostly agreed that each had a bizarre, off-putting flavor and were extremely dry. So So – I've been hearing about Vanilla for quite some time and I finally decided to feed into the cupcake craze. What I liked about Vanilla was that you had the option of getting 3 mini cupcakes for $5 (I always want to try everything so this was a great solution!) I found that $3.25 for one cupcake was pricey, but they were big. The red velvet was good, but I also tried the Vanilla Bean and hated the frosting.
