Our HOA was in trouble with the City because of some incorrect advice given to us by several contractors. A replacement project for damaged stairs and monument signs was completed without City permits. We were cited, and needed to produce after the fact architectural drawings, design and engineering drawings so we could apply for a permit. It was a special project for me and the first time I ever thought of doing this kind of design work. It did not appear to me before that I could get a complete look at how everything is going to look like when it’s done before the work is even started. Overall, the project went very well from the very beginning until the end. It’s basically a totally hands-off experience and it is awesome!
