Really cares about her patients, and always follows through. Patient, kind, always listens, never rushes, and really is dedicated to her patients. After 15 years with Dr. Gavin-Headen I can give this review with countless experiences.
She is the BEST DOCTOR, PERIOD!!! She sincerely cares about you and making sure your health is optimum. She treats you as an individual and not some "cookie cutter", one size fits all approach. KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOU DO FOR ME AND OTHERS! Sharon Cruse, aka Purple Lady.
Bad with explaining things and calling when lab work is abnormal. Even if I asked for a call to explain things better, she would still only briefly ensue me back. I know we’re all busy, but it was unprofessional and subpar. Had to advocate for certain lab work to be checked and she tried to deter me from doing it all, only to find out it was one of my leading problems, once revealed. Shame on her. It was unjust and I would have hoped as an African American woman that she would empathize more. Truly disheartening.
