I have been going to Dr VanderVeen for over 35 years. She has educated me about dangers of the sun as well as treated me for basil and squamous cancer. She is caring, efficient and professional. I feel so fortunate to have her as my dermatologist. PS. I travel 60 miles to Dr VanderVeen because she is top notch.
I have been going to here for several years and this last time I was treated VERY rudely by both HER and HER NURSE! When the nurse asked if I used sun screen and I told her "probably not as much as I should, but I am a farmer" she then said "so you just don't care?" Then when Dr. VanderVeen came in she said "I don't know why we even try to save people like you" I will no longer go to this place and strongly recommend she retire. She no longer has my trust and feel she no longer cares.
I've had numerous procedures by Dr. Vanderveen and found her to be an excellent doctor. Very professional, caring, and a great Mohs surgeon.
I have been Dr. VanDerveen's patient for many years. She is warm, knowledgeable, and no-nonsense--in my opinion, the perfect doctor. Despite the fact that I moved to Kalamazoo five years ago, I continue to drive twice a year for my appointments in Grand Rapids. She's the best!
