Something has gone wrong on every visit to this office. On my first visit, the equipment they used for X-rays was too large for my mouth causing me to gag. They were rude to me about having a "sensitive gag reflex" and announced this to everyone in the office. When I returned for a filling, the doctor struggled to properly band the tooth being filled, needing at least a half dozen tries to do it -- with wooden wedges driven between my tooth and gum. Did this provider have reasonable prices? Yes Is this provider's business conveniently located? Sort of, but its pretty far away from everything Was this provider sympathetic to your situation? No, they didn't show any sympathy or concern Did this provider have an entertaining selection of waiting room magazines? Somewhat, but they need a bigger selection Did your gums bleed excessively after your appointment? Yes, but it stopped within a few hours

I was worried that I was going to be in a lot of pain during my procedure, but they gave me a local anesthetic that took the pain away. I have a real fear of dental work. This was not small procedure, it was a root canal. I was very comfortable the whole time. They also gave me addition support for nervousness and fear with gas prior to the procedure. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. T... read more

NEVER GO TO VANDERVEEN DENTAL CENTER! Absolute worst experience with a practitioner of any kind, EVER. They told me the wrong time for my appointment, so when I showed up early (for the time I was told), they told me the dentist had left for the day and I would have to reschedule. Rescheduled for the next day, called ahead to say running a few minutes behind. Showed up 10 minutes late.
