Superb food, friendly service, beautiful atmosphere. What a find!
We went to the Vanderbilt with a large party, with children, for a birthday celebration. The entire staff was amazing! They even refrigerated the cake we brought with us and served it! Our kids loved building little things with the Jenga game and us parents got to enjoy amazing food and company - which is a rare thing these days. Thank you all for special night!!
Dinner was excellent! The frito pie was fun and all our appetizers and entrees were large, well made and beautifully presented. Trying to watch my carbs I appreciated that the sides were fresh veggies with just a little carbs thrown in. Affordable and delicious!

We had a delicious dinner at the Vanderbilt Lakeside. Everything was perfect. Service was great. So glad to have such a nice restaurant in Philmont.
A great find. Excellent food and service with a great view of the lake and migrating geese. I would highly recommend the smoked trout salad and Bloody Mary at brunch.
Sunday brunch was great! Very friendly and attentive staff. Executive Chef came out and spoke with us about what we ordered. I think he was a little surprised that we knew what congee was . Cozy and stylish interior. I might have stuck to Worcestershire and extra horseradish in the Bloody Mary instead of A-1 but that’s a minor point (or a couple of horseradish sweet pickles from a local vendor).
