I had a wonderful experience with the Alpena VA clinic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Things were explained to me thoroughly and my concerns and questions were addressed.
I appreciate the good Healthcare I receive at the Alpena VA clinic.
When they make an appointment it's in a year..if you need another appointment because you need more or and you call back you won't get another appointment for two months! Or the doctor doesn't give you your BP for 2 months! You're not going to get the care you need!
Like most VAs this one cares very little about the folk they see. Got lost when the doc left and took nearly 3 years to get seen by a primary care with me making near monthly requests to be seen (I actually had my rating lowered for not being seen). The rude old women who run reception should all be fired/cleared out and a new staff put in place, they will make veterans wait in line so they can finish their personal side story or leave just 1 person standing in so they can do group lunches when theres a full lobby and prefer... read more
