Art Pottery We where dissapointed by our visit to this pottery studio. There was not much information upon entering and no one to offer the free tour as advertized. Entry was free which was good. The studio was old and not a place I would recommend as a must see. You could purchase pottery and other items there but all was very expensive. PROS: CONS: expenisve and no tours

Van Briggle is world class Van Briggle - even the pieces they are currently producing are world class. Set up in an old railroad roundhouse, Van Briggle Art Pottery is right off of Highway 24. You can't miss it! Go inside and get a tour of the amazing process the pottery takes to become a VAn Briggle piece. They still use the same processes they have used since they first opened so long ago. You can't tamper with perfection!

Worth a vist This shop is very nice. Its located in an old railroad roundhouse. They actually make the pottery here and you can watch them while they had make the stuff. It is lovely but very expensive. They often have a sale table on the show room floor and you can get discounts.

Art, not pottery Van Briggle Pottery has recently moved and isn't in the old railroad house any longer. It is locked just a short drive away on Tejon. It is worth the drive, if you like to chat. Van Briggle offers tours around the shop but call ahead to make sure someone is available for the tour on the date you want to show up. These are ad-hoc tours and not regularly scheduled. But oh what a tour it is! Did you know that Colorado Springs was home to a world class artist? His art is shown at the Louve in Paris. He developed... read more

Interesting to see After buying Van Briggle for a friend, I was facinated to learn that it is still in produciton. They were making some while we were there and we got to see how they sign the bottoms of th pieces. THe pottery is still expensive but this was a fun visit.
