UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. I brought my 2016 Golf GTI in for an oil change requiring 5W-40. I noticed multiple technicians crowding around my engine bay looking guilty, so I asked what was happening. They admitted they filled my vehicle with 5W-30 because they ran out of 5W-40 without notifying me or checking if it met Volkswagen's strict engine specifications (which 5W-30 does NOT for this turbocharged engine).
