I take my car in to get inspected. The guy asks me what my mileage is. I say 15,040. So the idiot adds 1 on the end and makes it 150,401 miles. I had a buyer for the car the next day and he's at the bank getting a cashier's check but the loan officer says there's a discrepancy on the Carfax report about the mileage and advises the buyer to clarify this before requesting a check. I used to love going to this Valvoline, as they're quick, convenient, and the crew is always really helpful and friendly. The problem is, over the past couple of years, it seems that every single time I bring a car in for the state inspection (now emissions testing) the ONLY guy who does them is somehow either gone for the day or on break. Yesterday I came in around 530pm (1 1/2 hours before closing time), and they said to come by the next day before 7pm.
