Picky polish girl here... the best in a long time. Kapusta is not a salt lick. All the food is flavorful !! A definite must.. Number 1 spot now. Pickle soup and Vals polish combo..the best!! Dont change a thing. Service friendly and attentive. Not rushed.. and very clean and decorated well.
Another nice surprise! Our go-to for Polish is the Polish Village Cafe (PVC) in Hamtramck. We've tried many other similar restaurants but have always been disappointed because they are just mediocre in comparison...until Val's! My Husband got Val's Polish combo which came with City Chicken, Stuffed Cabbage and fresh kielbasa. It also came with three pirogies and sauerkraut. Wow! It was very good. Great Polish food. Everything is delicious and lots of options. Staff is very friendly.
Val's is closed. A sign on the door explains the reason. Closed for good. Sad.
