Recently, I went to this ER for the first time and it was a breath of fresh air. My family has used the ER at Northwest Health (Porter) for years and have mostly received good care, despite other aspects being annoying. But our last visit was terrible, so I decided not to go back. I was debating going to the ER for an issue but my spouse really wanted me to go. So I gave St Mary ER a try. Trips for the ER are never fun, but I can say that my visit here this morning was one of the most positive experiences I've had regarding an emergency room visit. From the front desk staff to the nurses and doctor and the girl who came in to complete registration, they were extremely pleasant and helpful with almost zero waiting. The doctor was thorough in her explanation with her plan and the nurses followed up and completed everything immediately. I never felt like I was "forgotten" while sitting in a room.
