Been with this vet for many years. Noticed when my dogs were healthy everything was great. When my pets became ill. Well, they work your emotional state to agree to lab work that is not needed. They add on charges and you are left with a large bill. At the end of the day your pet is recovering. I'll give them that (how much of that would have happened anyway, I don't know) the feeling I'm am left with is this place took advantage again and my credit card shows it. The doctors here have taken excellent care of my pets. 5 stars for care, but the wait is very long, even for appointments. Be prepared to spend some time here for care.

I have always loved the staff at Encina. They have seen almost every dog I have owned. Dr Hall is amazing as well as Dr Bonner and Dr Angus. I have had numerous procedures done with the staff here over the years and have always highly recommended them. Unfortunately for the first time ever I am highly disappointed in the service I have received. I brought my dog in Tuesday for a biopsy, called today and found out the results were in but they refuse to release them to me without a vet reading them first and only the vet who t... read more

Helped me with a critical patient in our rescue both as an emergency (Dr Vasend) and as a neurology consult (Dr Adamo). We also have to mention their wonderful staff from beginning to end. They were on top of things and because of this the patient (who had a possibly fractured neck) has a GREAT chance for a full recovery.
