Fiery red sandstone glazed with corrugations forms the nucleus of this park which is a picturesque desert wonder. Having been a Nevada landmark since the 1930s, this state park is a startlingly insightful subject on geology, history as well as archaeology. Life experience. I recommend you visit for the day if you’re in the area.
This park it's a nature Lover's amusement park. The scenery is amazing, incredible walking trails easily accessible. Photo ops everywhere.
An amazing park, with very well preserved natural and cultural treasures! Definitely recommend a visit in winter when hiking extensively would be more pleasant.
Awesome & beautiful! Very peaceful with lots of history.
We spent 3-4 hours in the park. Many turnouts along the road to stop and walk down well maintained trails. There are lots of photo opportunities. Great place for all levels of physical activity from just staying in the car seat to climbing rocks and hiking trails.
Leave plenty of time to take in the breath taking views. I especially love the visitors center they had so much information about history of the park. It’s the first Nevada state park. The people are so friendly and informative. They are very environmentally conscientious. If you love to hike bring your shoes. It’s a hike but worth it.
The colors of the landscape, the beautiful blue sky, the imponent mountains, the trails, the shapes of the rocks are incredible, amazing place! very safe and clean!!
Amazing place to visit. Good for overlanding and hiking.
Muy buena aventura, solo llevar buen calzado.
