Unacceptable care and predatory billing! My spouse and I came to this Emergency Room terrified, suspecting acute appendicitis. We ended up waiting from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM just to be seen. Six hours of agony in a waiting room that was in an absolutely terrible, dirty, and rundown condition. When the doctor finally saw us, the "examination" was a complete joke. Very rude assistant on the second floor in trauma icu heavy set woman I never want to complain but she was really rude the whole time I been visiting well my fiance is in there fighting for his life you would think she will have a little respect with us instead of hanging the phone up or pretending we never rang the bell when we want to visit him. I will get her name and I'm going to report her so this doesn't happen to no one else.
The trauma staff saved my son's life. The care he received afterward set him up for recovery. Is it a perfect hospital? No. Are the people who work there heroes who are giving others everything they can day in and day out? Yes. The doctors, nurses, and support staff were clearly invested in my son's care. The only place it broke down was on the administrator end -- those people were pretty brutal to deal with as all they cared about was what insurance would and wouldn't cover.
