I have seen Dr Merillat for a year now following a near-fatal heart attack and have nothing but good to say about him. He is matter of fact in that he doesn’t sugar coat things. Another surgeon recommended surgery a couple of months ago but told me to talk to Dr Merillat for a second opinion. I did that today and he was able to answer any questions I had and helped set me at ease.

I spoke to this Dr when I needed to call him and ask for my moms medical records to be transferred to Stanford. He placed a device in her for electoral issues with her heart. She ended up having four surgeries with him due to issues with the placement of the device and now has a staff infection. No empathy, horrible bed side manner and very rude for no reason. Run.
Incredibly rude and didn't listen to a thing I said. Even ignored known heart condition to blame my issues on my weight.
