About this business

Our history is deeply rooted in our dedication and commitment to providing the highest quality produce to our customers. Erv and Pat Schummer founded Valley Farm Market in 1971 when they opened their first store on Front Street in Allentown, PA. Concentrating solely on produce at the time, Erv also worked his own produce stand at the Mahoning Valley Farmers Market on Friday's. In 1973, Erv started selling produce at the Kutztown Farmers Market, while his wife and mother ran their store on Front Street. Erv expanded his store... read more

$2 cash back? I like Valley Farm, but was taken aback by management. The cashier had given me $2 extra cash back, which I noticed when I got home. I called the store to tell them that if the cashier was $2 short, I was the one who had it. I did not want the cashier to get into trouble. Sure enough, the manager called me back and told me that the cashier was short $2 when she cashed out. Believe it or not...the manager asked me to bring the $2 back to the store! I couldn't believe it. ~Cynthia G

Don't Go To Valley I have gone to Valley Farm Market donzens of times, mainly because it is so close to where I live. However, despite how close it is I continually feel disrepected and harassed. For example: My vision is not so good, so I need help when I search for milk, and when I ask if the milk is good for two weeks all the employees (including the managers I tried to have help me) start calling me "Two Weeks" and begin laughing at me. As soon as I walk into the store I feel out of place but it is honestly so close that... read more

Best wings ever! If you want the best fried wings in the world, this is the place to go! Great price and hearty pieces. Planning a party? Call ahead of time (a day) to hot foods. Give a total of your head count and they'll recommend how many pounds. Just give them a time of your pick up; then get ready to hear everyone ask you "Where did you get these delicious wings" No lie they are better than KFC! Seriously!

Valley review. I look forward to their ad on Wednesdays. By the time I clip Sundays coupons I can compare them to Valleys sales. Besides the ad, they have in house sales which is an added perk. I have been a valley shopper for many years, back when you could get ground chuck on sale for $ .99. They have a variety of dried fruits, snacks and candy. Some candy I haven't seen since I was a kid. Flying Saucers, candy necklaces, circus peanuts just to name a few. Nice job on this site. Good idea. Pat from Bath.

Very Good Shopper's Store This Grocery Store is your friendly neighborhood corner store but big as a Weiss'. The in-store bakery and it's bakers deliver exceptional cakes, pies and more. The butcher shop always provides better than chain-store quality. Everything is fresh. We shop there always. I have one thing to say to the owner, "Please open up a store in the Hanover Twsp area. There is a great site on the former Key Pontiac Lot w/nice sized building and at long last...plenty of parking space"!
