I found Val El Salon through groupon for eyelash extensions. This is right around the corner from my job so I figured that I would give it a shot. I have been getting my refills done here ever since. Anastasia is the technician who does my extensions and she's terrific, I'd highly recommend her. She has always taken me on time and works with ease. Ever since I have been coming here, I can't imagine not having my eyelash extensions, LOVE IT! Thank you Anastasia :)
I was about to purchase a Groupon deal for balayage today and figured let me call the salon before I do so to make sure they can accommodate me tomorrow. The girl had no personality on the phone and she told me there's only one time tomorrow after I mentioned I have a Groupon deal I'm going to purchase. I said that's fine and then she goes on to tell me that there's a 24-hr cancellation policy. But that doesn't make sense if I'm booking less than 24 hours before. I said that's fine. The place was great but the EXPECTED GRATUITY is made like MANDATORY above the norm! When I asked for them to break a $20 I received the most uncalled for comment and made the experience of a massage go down the drain along with the Salon! Lesson learned when you purchase a package and have to stick to the salon. Disappointment.
Hairstylist 20 min late with my appointment. 5 hours (!!!) just to more or less get to the result I initially wanted. After 3(!!!) times coloring over and over. 6 hours wasted time and a price tag of 275$ with no adjustments. I was so exhausted and disappointed, I didn't have energy to argue. I just ran. I do not recommend. One star is for the lovely girl Helen who washed my hair, seemed like she was the only one who cared.
