Salt Lake VA Medical Center has a brand new emergency room opening up. The grand opening will be on May 13 for a Public to come in starting at 10 AM. The new emergency room will be open for business starting on May 14. It is located on the north side of building one and that would be the north east corner as the bird flies when you come in the opening at the garage turn left on Ben Drive and you will run right into the entry parking area for the emergency room. It is one-way only so watch the signs.

Staying in Salt Lake City for 6 weeks, from Texas. Landed on my pinky snowboarding and thought I dislocated it. I made a splint with a popsicle stick and ride a couple more hours. Arrived to the ER at ~2100 and was out at ~2230. Pretty simple check-in, being out of state. Had an x-ray done, and had super cool doctor lady on staff! The guy who wore glasses draw my blood and left me with huge bruises. And how he did was hurt so bad to just draw the blood. Unprofessional and unskilled employee.

The people at the front desk were nice but we thought it was odd that the ID card office wasn't in this main building. We had to drive down the block to go to the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic and go down to the basement to get an ID card. When you get an ID, it's mailed to you 2-3 weeks later; you don't receive it when you go here with that intention.
