I have some kind of sinus infection, called Salem VA talked to some nurse, she told me to go into the Salem VA. for covid test and for them `to look at me. got there some nurse said we are busy and don't covid test anyone. Told me to go to some urgent care down the street. what the hell? there was 3 people in the waiting room. and im not paying some urgent care money. I DONT HAVE TO!!!!!
They love there veterans
My elderly parents had the worst experience at this VA location. My father, who is an Asian American Vietnam Veteran just wanted to get a hearing test done but the gentleman that was assisting him was very rude and condescending. He didn’t even help them, so my father just walked out. He even called my father “confused” and said he didn’t understand why they were even there. Go to the Portland VA office instead. At least they were helpful and treated my parents like human beings. So sad.
I had an appointment yesterday at the Salem VA Clinic. I have Anxiety because of past experiences with the VA, so I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I was surprised at there being only a handful of patients in the waiting room. I thought that was a little odd. I've been part of the VA healthcare system for a while and Never have I seen a waiting room Empty... As soon as I gave my last name and digits I was ushered right into an Examination room.
