These stars are ONLY for the Patient Advocate named Mr. Troy at the Perry Hill location. My husband and I want to thank you for caring and taking the time to ensure we get the proper treatment in a timely manner. Also, thank you for not making excuses and enabling poor service and behavior like some many do at different locations. We need more people like you who actually care about the Veteran's health and welfare.
This is the worst place ever for a veteran to go for anything. The majority of the people (Nurses) that work here are only here for a paycheck. They are not here for the veterans that actually need help. If you ask me, the entire staff needs to be fired and start completely over. By far the worst VA Center in the state of Alabama.
I've been around the VA for a number of years but never used the health care until moving here. I don't think between blue cross ppo, kaiser or others I've had that I've been anywhere that cares as much about my well being. The staff is also so helpful and supporting. They are checking and finding things that should have been checked years ago. This is an honest neutral opinion from someone that used outside facilities the past 35 years until now.
Every time I have came here everyone is so friendly and does their job well. It seems that they really care about what they are doing. I am so very grateful for all their help.
The emergency room department was an awful experience. I drove 1 1/2hrs to be seen last night for headaches I’ve been experiencing for at least a week now… I get there the reception was sleep I had to wake him up I get to the back I had to re explain to the second nurse what I told the 1st nurse. Only for the doctor to come in and not address my issue but say he’s curious to see if I’m pregnant after I told him I wasn’t.
