On June 6th my father Grant Ahrens, an almost 90 year old Korean War Vet received a phone call from one of his doctors at the Long Beach VA and this Doctor, Dr. Patel, suggested he go admit himself to the hospital due to his current blood test reading a high level of WBC’s (White Blood Cells), and they wanted to look at him a little closer and see what’s going on. Staff there are great and very attentive to your needs. I have dealt with the infusion clinic several times and the are always very welcoming to me and any patient that enters their realm.

Grossly negligent in the care of a severely ill veteran who contracted tuberculosis In Early 2019 while volunteering with homeless veterans. Her condition was misdiagnosed by her primary care physician at the VA as an upper respiratory infection for four months. Not until the woman collapsed and was taken to a civilian hospital four months later, was she tested and TB confirmed.
