Supports crueltity to animals by contracting with Subway! Shameful!
University of Washington, please consider ending your contract with Subway! The chicken served in its restaurants comes from abused and neglected animals!
I LOVED being at UW for my education. I wished I didn't have to go to work every day, but that was the only way I was able to pay for my education. Back then not many did this, but I managed to graduate in four years with 30 extra credits. I made my schedule work, but didn't include study time in my plan, so didn't sleep much. I was so ignorant then, but the educational opportunities were boundless at UW. Later as an academic adviser at an Oregon community college, I helped a number of students prepare to matriculate at UW.
We are proud parents of a first year University Of Washington Student. So far the experience we have had is excellent ! Our daughter seems to be adapting to College Dorm Life and excelling in her classes. Honestly WE can not wait until she returns home for Summer Break :-) GO HUSKIES !

University of Washington has a contract with Subway in spite of the recent chicken abuse scandal in Subway's supply chain. Chickens killed for Subway are crammed by the hundreds of thousands in filthy windowless sheds. They are bred to grow so large, so fast that they suffer painful and debilitating injuries. No ethics. This disgrace of a university does inhumane animal testing. Urge them to stop and do not support such a ruthless organization.
A disgrace to humanity the evil than is going on Behind your walls. Taking animals from the wild and or breeding wild animals caging then up in horrific conditions testing on them and then killing them, don't try and justify it with a response your university should be shut down amongst others.
