Let's get one thing straight, nobody WANTS to need a neurosurgeon, but if you do, UW Health has your back. I have been a patient of UW neurosurgery for three years, after a botched shunt surgery out west that caused a subderal. All of my neurosurgeons have been incredible, but I have to highlight two. I got the scare of my life when an MRA showed a 4.5 mm aneurysm. I selected UW Madison. I am a complex patient as have renal failure and contrast is harmful. I also have a complex chart. UW on my first visit which was in three days of calling, had already gotten all my health records and had a plan.
