My second daughter was born at 34 weeks and my oldest was only 15 months. It was a scary time for me, and I couldn’t spend all day at the hospital with my newborn because my other daughter still needed her mama! One of the things that gave me peace of mind was knowing that I left my second in the hands of NICU nurses. You could tell each and every one of them loved their job and loved each baby they cared for.
My son has been in the NICU now for five days and will likely be there 1-2 more weeks. Everyone we have met have treated us with respect and love. Our nurses are compassionate and have explained everything so well to us. The lactation consultants and social workers have been great as well. It’s so hard to come home without a baby, but at least we know he has the best care available.
I love every single person we came in to contact with here. They have a complete love for those babies. Our son was born at 24 weeks and he received around the clock care every second he was there. He unfortunately developed an infection and passed away at a month old but we have so much peace knowing that everyone did absolutely everything they could for him. Horrible care. They care more about the money than the patients. Utah Valley Hospital NICU is the worst. They are only concerned about the money and not about the patients. I had twins in Nov. 2021 and the social worker was immediately invading my space and bugging me with annoying pointless questions within the first few hours of having the babies and having been up over 40 Hours straight in labor and deliver.
