I had EXACTLY the same experience. We went to the emergency room at St. Mark's Hospital, which is an in-network hospital under my insurance, and several months later, we were "balanced billed" a few hundred dollars for everything over what my insurance company paid. Absolutely ridiculous. Their billing company would not listen at all, but I finally got to their billing manager, who said it was a mistake. I believe it's a mistake that is made often.
WILL NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE! Located in a hospital that accepts our insurance but these people will not accept the same insurance that says it covers the hospital. Be aware these people will provide you treatment but will not accept the same insurance the hospital will and they won't tell you before treating you. Hospital is Lakeview hospital in Bountiful, Utah.
