Such a scummy, predatory branch of UT. The way this office operates genuinely affects my view of my now alma mater. PTS officers have 0 flexibility and 0 sympathy and have been just plain rude in my experience. Tickets are also much more than if you were issued a ticket by the city of Austin. I worked in UHD as an undergrad student and honestly dreaded having to deal with them and the angry families they created during move-in. Appeal process is not easy, and if you want to escalate the appeal, you have to pay first.
A car that is occupied with the engine running is not parked your ticket writers and are confrontational. You need to stop harassing people while they are in their vehicles
Visited campus for an event, parking instructions were clear and ample parking available.
Complete scam! Paid for parking for track and field championships-came to car two hours later to a $35 ticket. To get it resolved gotta jump thru hoops and create accounts etc and prove I paid for parking! Parking attendants say this is a regular thing! This NEEDS INVESTIGATION!! Criminal to take advantage of those who don’t have tools or knowledge to “appeal”-I bet a lot of elderly just pay it to make it go away!
