You can get accurate information from this FB page. Please understand better what it means to be a National Forest or a National Grassland.

The only Official site for the the USFS in this area. Great info for current things happening out there and a place for people to upload pictures of their experiences out there.

Twice this year I have had run ins with uneducated rangers on the trail to Lost Lake. They’ve told me my dogs need to be on a leash because I’m in wilderness area but they are totally incorrect. The wilderness area starts further west, the confusion may be caused by the information sign by the creek at the bottom of the trail but rangers should know better.

First ever run in with the forest service and we get the most negative and degrading officer ever. Who not only calls me a liar but then pretends to be doing me a favor by only writing me a $300 ticket for driving a side by side to a discover where the lake is near our family property. Great job. Land of the free to drive wherever you want as long as you have the right licensing, know where you are, and have paid all the right government taxed fees. You just feel real proud.....keeping those forests safe from good people....... read more
