“Now open” might as well be “now closed.” 1st time- I had a boil bigger than mount everest, & I had surgery coming. The boil was right where part of the surgery (the was 5 days away.) my gymo said get it lanced and start antibiotics to block infection spreading during my surgery. The man flat out said “I don’t think I can numb it.” Excuse me?!! So what did he do? He gave me a prescription for percocets. Just free nilly - I was in there to lose infection, not gain pain meds. Went here for a work related physical. Staff is exceptionally rude, and NP is a joke. Have rarely been to one of these but will never return to this one.
I scheduled an appointment at AFC to be seen about a skin lesion and to get a Flu test, having traveled with 10+ people who caught Flu-B, and with plans to see my Grandfather who is in the ICU the next day. I just moved to Huntsville and don’t have primary care yet. Got vitals taken and was given a flu test, then waited just 5 minutes in a room. Today , I got labs done here by phlebotomist.. the phlebotomist did not use a phlebotomy chair which is dangerous.. secondly she placed the tourniquet half inch above where she was sticking at , which is completely wrong. It should be 3 inch above. The tourniquet was not even tight. Than she kept touching the site after she cleaned it. Finally she stuck me the needle slipped out than she touch the site and try to put the needle back in so I grabbed her arm and told her NO get somebody else.
