John and his team are the best! How do I know? I have been coming there every 3 weeks for 17 years...great men’s cut, keeps up with trends, communicates with you about your wants...great products too and they are kind to my son Jack age 5 (he loves the attention from the ladies!) You cannot go wrong with Urban Lift.
This is a neighborhood salon with cool vintage vibe, LGBTQ friendly, 🐕 friendly, baby friendly. Everyone will feel welcomed and satisfied with work they do.

If you’re looking for a great, consistent salon head over to Ashland and Addison. Street parking and public transportation is plentiful.

Love love this salon! Anna is soooo sweet and rocks my hair each time I’m there! Friendly and fun space, awesome people and their dog goofy is even there and greets me every time!

I went to Urban Lift for the last eight years and had my hair cut by multiple team members. John has built an incredible team and created a culture of warmth, acceptance, and fun that I doubt I'll find somewhere else. I trust his judgment not only with regards to hair but also in choosing the people who work at the salon - John became my go-to but everyone is wonderful and talented. I've never had a negative interaction here, and you should absolutely book an appointment.
