I did not have a good experience. I take some responsibility as I just wanted someone who could talk to me and my ex that could mediate. I didn’t realize it has to be someone who specializes in abuse, specifically narcissistic abuse. Octavia Brown does not. The one thing an abuser is good at is manipulation and that is basically what was done the entirety of our session and she didn’t catch any of it and I essentially paid her to push me further into the hole. I was recommended by a friend of mine to begin therapy at the Urban Institute. Although healing is a bit uncomfortable, I'm so happy to have a clinician that understand me and my culture.
This agency does a wonderful job of bringing culturally competent services to Black and Brown communities! They serve communities of color with dignity and passion! I would recommend this place 1000 times over!
