The girls love it!!!!!! I followed my stylist Nicki here! The new digs are laid back, comfortable and open. The building itself is worth taking a look at as it is smack dab in the middle of the Dallas Historic district. As for the stylist, she rocks and I was more than happy to check out the new space. I Got The Cut - I Got The Job!!! I moved to downtown early in the year. I had been getting the same hair cut for too many years and my hairdresser was to far to visit. I found the Urban Cartel by accident. I made an appointment with Bill to get my standard haircut. The salon was not quiet what I expected. The place was very inviting. The music was great, Bill and Lane were very friendly. I was a nervous wreck since I have had the same haircut for over 20 years. Above and Beyond! I have been a fan of Urban Cartel since October 2007. I moved to Downtown Dallas from Miami, FL and the day I signed my lease I also had a last minute invitation to the Cattle Baron's Ball. In a panic, I knocked on the window of the salon. It was such a cool space that I wasn't sure if it was a salon- but Bill buzzed me in, and agreed to style my hair even though it was past closing time. URBAN DELIGHT! What a Great Salon!! From the moment you walk in Bill and Lane make you feel comfortable. You truly feel as if you have been to a Top quality Salon. Bill can take one look at you and tell you what needs to be done with your hair, from color to cut! I think the price is in line with any top quality Salon. I have paid more and not had the attention to detail that they give. My husband and I have both been customers since Bill opened Urban Cartel and will continue to be!!
Not a Happy Customer Here. Skip the place. I went in for a cut and color. My stylist has to ask the manager for his opinion, too. The color chemicals are applied, rinsed off and voila! THE EXACT same hair color I had to begin with. Even the manager himself says it looks the same. My cut was "OK" but the stylist trembled as though she had too much caffeine. Urban Super Stars!! At the Urban Cartel Salon, Bill and gang are truly awesome. I have been a regular client since its inauguration in July 2007. The relaxed atmosphere and professional service is a nice change of pace from other salons, not to mention their great prices and range of services. Keep up the great work!
