i have been a patient at Upstate Dermatology for 2 years. While having numerous surgeries, I have always had competent and caring staff, especially Raj Malla, Dr. Gregory and Mike.
excellent service at reception, and WONDERFUL patient care by Physician Assistant Michael Kurek. He was knowledgeable, and terrific manner and skilled !!!
I have made several calls to Melissa B which have not been returned. For each visit you pay your $25 copay upfront. I have looked at my Medicare account and all of my copays have been far less than the $25 that is paid upfront. I expect there should be a refund for the difference between the $25 copay and what Medicare states is the copay that is charged. I wonder if this procedure is allowable since they are keeping money that is not their money. I am not sure if Medicare would allow such a practice. Hopefully someone... read more
I have had nothing but a positive experience. I used to go to a dermatologist in Saratoga that was a bit flashier, but that practice constantly rescheduled my appointment after I had to wait months to get one in the first place. Upstate has been the opposite. I have been able to get an appointment within a day or two of calling. Every practitioner I have seen has been quick and efficient. I went for my annual skin check today and was actually in and out of the exam room in under 10 minutes! I can't say enough positive things... read more
I was 7 minutes EARLY for my appointment. They had requested I be there 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork (PS I have yet to ever take 20 minutes to fill out any medical paperwork -- and I could have filled it out afterwards, too), but I got a little lost, so I lost a few minutes. The doctor (or rather NP) refused to see me because that would "mess up their schedule" and because "appointments are only TEN MINUTES!"
