When first introduced, with many participating businesses and easy friends and family giving, I could not recommend them enough. Now the number of participating companies is much smaller and friends and family savings much more difficult and it is no longer worth what it once was.

I joined Upromise on September 25, 2001. Over the years, I've accumulated a couple of hundred dollars in my account, which is linked to my children's 529 plans. Most of the money that has built-up over the years has come from my participation in the dining program; it's an effortless way to help save for college. Basically, I pay for meals at participating restaurants with a credit card that I linked to my Upromise account. A percentage of what I spend at those restaurants is then credited to my Upromise. So easy. So simple.

I have 3 purchases through Upromise from March 2020. None of these have been credited to my account. The continually show 'pending'. This has been an ongoing problem with them. What give?

Let me start by saying I do not work for them, never have so I am not a disgruntled employee. I am a parent. Nah, it is not worth using upromise at all. It used to be worth the effort but not anymore. I cannot recommend upromise not even a little. I have a uPromise ********** (********) and the only earnings I have are the 1.25% "reward" for using their card every month. Every month it takes 45-60days to have these rewards funded. This is ridiculous. I understand if I earn a rebate because I ate at a particular restaurant that one would have to wait for that rebate from an "outside partner". User beware. I've been a member of the UPromise program for about 7 years. Up until the past year, I had no problems with redeeming my earnings or getting a response from them when I emailed a question. Something has changed with the company and now you cannot get in touch with any human being and they do not respond to any emails. I often use their online shopping rewards to earn cash back. I am not able to login to Upromise...this site's message is "Your connection is not private." To date, I have never received Promised funds of $50.00 transferred into my bank account. I have rewards greater than $50.00 in my account for the past two months. I was PROMISED to have funds automatically transferred on the first of the month.
